Covestro Specialty Films to Showcase Expanded Portfolio and Return of Polycarbonate Sheet at IAPD Annual Convention
Pittsburgh, PA, September 28, 2026 - Covestro LLC, a global leader in high-performance polymer materials, will showcase its expanded sheet and film portfolio at the 70th IAPD Annual Convention and connecX Trade Show. Highlights include the introduction of their new Makrofol® FR 7-2, a UL 94 V-0 certified flame-retardant polycarbonate film available in black and clear, and the return of their Makrofol® GP800 polycarbonate sheet to its product offering. Together, these products give distributors broader material options, reliable supply, and solutions for a wider range of applications.

Makrofol® FR 7-2 (Black and Clear): Safety Meets Design Flexibility. As product safety regulations tighten across industries, Covestro is answering the call with Makrofol® FR 7-2, a UL 94 V-0 certified flame-retardant polycarbonate film that combines safety performance with design versatility. Makrofol® FR 7-2, in black, features a durable black opaque finish and is available in both sheets and rolls in thicknesses from 0.012" to 0.020" making it ready for fabrication across a broad range of demanding end uses, including:

Makrofol® FR 7-2 is also available in clear. Clear sheets and rolls are available in thicknesses 0.010" and 0.015".
Makrofol® GP800 Polycarbonate Sheet: Tough. Transparent. Made with Makrolon® is a high-quality polycarbonate sheet built on proven Makrolon® technology, delivering the combination of optical clarity, toughness, and processability that distributors and their customer's demand.
