Covestro’s HDI derivatives production site in Rayong, under the company name Covestro AP Co., Ltd. (AP is from “Aliphatic Polyisocyanates”), is a new addition to our regional supply network, responding to growing market demand for high-performance and more sustainable coatings and adhesives solutions. As a trusted partner to our customers, we combine reliable supply, regional availability, and technical expertise to help them navigate evolving market needs and challenges.

Covestro AP produces HDI (hexamethylene diisocyanate) derivatives and related specialties, which are essential building blocks for high-performance polyurethane coatings, adhesives and sealants. Products under the well-established Desmodur® brand are used in a broad range of applications, including automotive coatings, protective coatings for infrastructure, marine coatings, wood furniture, electronics and other demanding industrial applications.

We work side by side with customers to translate performance requirements into scalable formulations, helping accelerate development, deliver consistent quality, and create smarter solutions that meet evolving market needs.
