Second Mid-Year Meeting - Achievements of the past year

Just over a year ago, the NEnzy Group was founded with the aim of developing enzymatic solutions for transforming the plastics industry towards a sustainable circular economy.

In November, the group held its second mid-year meeting at Covestro's headquarters in Leverkusen. During the meeting, all NEnzy members presented their research results from the past six months to an audience of internal and external mentors as well as further colleagues involved in the respective project parts. Following an open discussion round, there was a shared lunch providing space for exchange and networking. After the official meeting, the NEnzy core team visited the BIL plant (Basis Isocyanate Leverkusen) located at the Chempark site in Leverkusen, gaining insights into Covestro's impressive day-to-day operations.
