Covestro spotlights lighting solutions at events around the globe

Covestro had a very busy spring as the company’s lighting experts traveled to trade shows around the globe to put the company’s lighting materials and technologies on display for the first time under the name Covestro.
The busy trade show season kicked off March 1-3 at Strategies in Light in Santa Clara, California. More than 5,000 lighting industry professionals had the opportunity to learn about Covestro’s polycarbonate resins and sheets for lighting applications. Covestro introduced Makrolon® TC8010 polycarbonate targeted for use in LED heat sinks for lamps or next-generation luminaires.
Next, Covestro was off to Frankfurt, Germany, March 13-18 for the world’s largest trade fair for lighting and building services, Light + Building. More than 200,000 people could explore Covestro’s contributions to the lighting industry through its resins and sheets for the design and construction of luminaires.
Then, it was back to California April 26-28 for LIGHTFAIR International in San Diego to showcase Covestro’s broad portfolio of polycarbonate resin, sheet and film materials for the LED market to more than 27,000 attendees. Covestro presented Makrofol® DE 1-4 060023, a new polycarbonate film that is optimized to be most stable against LED light.

Finally, Covestro wrapped things up April 25-28 at Asia’s largest plastics and rubber trade fair, CHINAPLAS 2016 in Shanghai. In addition to highlighting its innovative solutions for the LED market, Covestro experts led “expert talks” on “Covestro Material Solutions for LED General Lighting” and “Multi-Layers Molding Technology for Thick Optical Lens” during the show.

Covestro’s whirlwind spring trade show season had its lighting experts spreading the word far and wide about the company’s broad portfolio of advanced materials and technologies for the lighting industry and how these products can bring product visions to light.
